Hi, I’m Derek

I’m an engineer at Octen.ai. Before this, I was the co-founder and CTO of a venture-backed startup building composable compute infrastructure for AI agents. I’m originally from Myanmar and currently live in Singapore.

My interests include:

  • building startups
  • training neural networks
  • offensive security
  • studying math and physics
  • training Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Wrestling, Boxing and Muay Thai
  • more recently, I’ve also been getting into philosophy

This website is mostly a collection of things I’m learning, ideas I’m thinking through, and occasional ramblings on whatever I happen to find interesting.
